You’ll transition from the vast silence of the pans into daily runs of 15–30 km inside the Okavango Delta and across the sacred Tsodilo Hills — two wildly different terrains offering pure immersion in nature, culture, and endurance.

The SPU to Tsodilo Hills Extreme Adventure is a slightly smaller edition of the Okavango to Tsodilo Ultra Trail. We will run on the same routes.
Your post-SPU recovery starts at the Sedia Hotel in Maun, where you can unwind by the pool, recharge, and settle into the rhythm of the Delta.
In the late afternoon, we’ll take you on an easy shake-out run to loosen the legs after the pans.
Once everyone’s feeling refreshed, we’ll wrap up the day with a relaxed dinner at the Okavango Brewery — the perfect blend of good food, local flavour, and great company.
You’ll arrive at Nxamaseri Lodge in the late morning, giving you plenty of time to unwind — relax by the pool, book a massage, or head out for a guided fishing trip.
Your Delta running adventure begins in the afternoon along the quiet Nxamaseri Channel in the Okavango Panhandle, following untouched waterways and passing small traditional fishing villages. The route leads across forested islands rich in birdlife and onto open floodplains. The terrain is mostly flat, with sandy paths and soft ground that offer constant views of the delta landscape.
Everyone who's keen for an afternoon run, we can take you out for an easy 10km to warm up for the next days.
You’ll end the day with a relaxed dinner under the stars back at Nxamaseri Lodge.
You’ll start the day with an early breakfast at Nxamaseri Lodge before a boat transfers you to the start of the todays run.
The sunrise run goes along the pan-handle 21km culminating in a picnic brunch on an island. Return to Nxamaseri for rest a relaxation/spa etc. pack your bags and then head to Tsodilo Hills after a nice big afternoon tea. Overnight at Tsodilo Hills Sleep-Out Expedition Camp, hosted by the local San community.
Wake up before sunrise for a morning run inside the Tsodilo Hills World Heritage Site. The route takes you past sacred rock art sites and around the base of the hills, with the option to summit Male Hill — Botswana’s highest point at over 1,400 m. 00 m. The 400 m climb rewards you with sweeping views over the Kalahari and back toward the Okavango Delta, a fitting finale to your journey between two UNESCO landmarks.
Lunch at the Tsodilo camp ground and transfer back to Nxamaseri (optional helicopter scenic transfer back with scenic over the panhandle)
The late afternoon is perfect for fishing or experience the calm movements on a mokoro gliding through the water.
The day concludes around a warm bonfire — the perfect ending to an unforgettable adventure.
On your final morning, you can take things at your own pace — relax at the lodge, enjoy another slow cup of coffee, book a well-deserved massage, or head out for a short optional run if the legs still have something left to give. You can also jump on a boat to enjoy some quite moments on the water or trying to catch one of the famous Okavango tiger fishes.
When it’s time to leave, everyone who booked the shuttle will be transported back to Maun. For all other guests, we’ll share a warm goodbye at Nxamaseri and hope to welcome you back soon for another Delta adventure.
